The Killers will lead acts for city festival

THE Killers will headline Scotland's only annual outdoor city music festival.

The US group are to perform at Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on August 19 and will be joined on the line-up by Courteeners and Miles Kane.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of organisers DF Concerts & Events, said: "The Killers' performance at T in the Park last year was incredible. We're thrilled to welcome them back to Scotland as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions, especially with such brilliant special guests in Courteeners and Miles Kane.

"We have some more big acts to announce over the next few months so once again Glasgow Summer Sessions will be one of the hottest tickets."

The festival was held for the first time last year and sold more than 100,000 tickets, with stars including Eminem, Tinie Tempah, Avicci and Kings Of Leon taking to the stage at the Glasgow park.

Tickets for this year's Summer Sessions event go on sale on Friday.
