The long and the short of it

LAUREN Adamson gives a kiss to Ted the Clydesdale, the champion winner at this year's Festival of the Heavy Horse.

Around 50 horses were entered yesterday at Milfield near Coldstream in the Scottish Borders.

It was the second year of the festival which included demonstrations provided by Northumbria Police, farriers, birds of prey, and gun dogs.
