Thousands roll in for Martha's charity as council does U-turn

A SCHOOLGIRL blogger banned from taking photos of her school dinners to post online has helped raise tens of thousands of pounds for children in Malawi.

More than 3000 people donated to the charity Mary's Meals after Martha Payne, of Lochgilphead Primary, was told she could no longer take photos of her school dinners for her blog NeverSeconds, which has notched up millions of views.

Argyll and Bute Council retreated on the ban yesterday after a barrage of protests on social network sites.
