Three flee car fire in park's lion enclosure

A FAMILY were forced to flee their car after it caught fire in the middle of the lion enclosure in a safari park, it emerged yesterday.

The mother and two children were visiting Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire when the vehicle overheated on Friday. Photographs posted online show the 4x4-type car engulfed in flames. No-one was hurt. Rangers managed to clear the 12 lions from the enclosure and the park was temporarily closed while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
