Three in hospital after house fire on Skye

Three people including a child were taken to hospital after a fire in a house this morning.

The blaze at the semi-detached two-storey house in Portree on Skye broke out at about 5am.

One property suffered fire and smoke damage while the next door house was also affected.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service had the blaze under control by 6.10am.

They said two adults and a child were taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
