Top stars join forces to sing praises of 'yes' vote at concert

Some of Scotland's top performers are taking part in a pro-Yes concert at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh next Sunday.

The bill includes Mogwai, pictured right at the last Big Weekend festival in Glasgow yesterday, Franz Ferdinand, Frightened Rabbit, Deacon Blue members Lorraine McIntosh and Ricky Ross, folk icon Eddi Reader and Scottish actress and comedian Elaine C Smith.

Promoter Tommy Sheppard, of the Scottish Comedy Agency, said: "The Yes campaign has unleashed tremendous creative energy and now a small segment of Scotland's artistic and creative community are getting together to prepare to move up another gear in the final days."

Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
