Tory MP swears on BBC2

THE BBC has apologised after former police minister Nick Herbert swore during a live political TV show.

The Conservative MP used the term "f***wit" while appearing as one of the guests on BBC2's Daily Politics programme. He gave a full apology after the programme and later said he had only used the term because he was quoting a disparaging comment made by a fellow guest about Home Secretary Theresa May.
