Town gets all hands on deck

IT was the usual case of fast and furious action as the townsfolk of Jedburgh took part in their traditional game of Hand Ba.

The teams, the Uppies and Doonies, gathered for the game where they try and score a goal at each end of the street. Each team tries to carry the ball, stuffed with moss and paper, to their opponents' side. The Uppies shoot towards the castle and the Doonies towards the Jed water.
