Trains are halted after landslide

TRAIN services between Glasgow and the western Highlands were halted last night after a landslip between Arrochar and Tarbet, Argyll and Bute.

Network Rail said all journeys between Glasgow Queen Street and Crianlarich, Oban and Fort William were terminated from 4.05pm with a replacement bus service laid on.

"The changes will be in place till the end of tonight, we will then work to clear the landslip," said a spokesman. "The landslip will be either on the line or in the vicinity of the line so it is not safe for trains to pass."
