CHILDREN from four Glasgow primary schools joined forces with members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra to mark the centenary of the start of WW1.

It took place on a tram at the city's Riverside Museum, during a year of events to mark the conflict, which saw the loss of more than nine million troops. Pupils Molly MacKay, Simon Szewczyk, Weronica Mazur and Justin Lun are pictured with RSNO flute player Janet Richardson, Ana Cordova (double bass) and violinist Jacqueline Speirs.
