Tributes paid to Holocaust victims

CANDLES and quiet reflection have marked Holocaust Memorial Day at many of the 1500 events organised across the UK.

President of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and survivor Ben Helfgott yesterday lit a candle in memory of the millions of people who lost their lives at the Millennium Bridge in central London as a choir sang a specially-composed song entitled Bridge of Voice.
