HIP-HOP trio Young Fathers have seen off competition from more mainstream artists such as Edwyn Collins, Biffy Clyro and Mogwai to be recognised for the Scottish Album of the Year.

The Edinburgh-based group - Graham Hastings, Alloysious Massaquoi and Kayus Bankole - won for Tape Two, their second album-length EP. They had previously said they were not expected to win but it was "good to finally have a bit of acceptance". The trio accepted their award at a ceremony at the Barrowland in Glasgow last night.
