TSB to make Scottish comeback

SCOTLAND'S historic TSB brand will reappear on high streets across Britain in August for the first time since the 1990s.

The name is being used for a business containing 632 branches, including Lloyds TSB Scotland.

TSB is making a comeback because EU competition officials are forcing Lloyds to sell the branches as a condition of its state bail-out in 2008 after its rescue takeover of Edinburgh-based Halifax Bank of Scotland.
