Tragedy has struck the family of boxing legend Jim Watt again after his daughter, TV presenter Michelle Watt, was found dead at her luxury home, aged just 38.

The Daily Record reported that Michelle, who presented TV shows including STV's The Hour, 60 Minute Makeover and Club Cupid, died suddenly on Wednesday night at the home she shared with her husband Paul Kerr and five-year-old daughter Jaymi in Airth, Stirlingshire.

She is the second of the former world champion's three children to die. His son, Jim Jr, was killed in a road crash in October 1995, aged 17.

Speaking in 2010 about the death of Jim junior, he said: "It was a horrendous time, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It was just terrible and tragic."

Colleagues and friends have paid tribute to Michelle.

Daytime TV presenter Lorraine Kelly paid tribute to her today on Twitter, writing: "Absolutely shocked to hear of death of Michelle Watt. Lovely woman and a fantastic mum. Thoughts with her family and everyone who loved her."

Celebrity interior designers Colin and Justin also paid tribute on Twitter, saying: "Saddened beyond belief to hear of the passing of an old friend. RIP Michelle Watt. Taken at 38. Our thoughts are with Michelle's family xx."

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Forth Valley were called to an address around 6.15pm on Wednesday 24th June where the body of a 38-year-old woman was found.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."

Her boxer father became world champion in the lightweight division in 1979 and has since worked as a commentator, currently with Sky Sports.

Stephen Jardine, former host of The Hour, wrote: "Totally shocked by the tragic death of Michelle Watt. One of the nicest people I've ever worked with. My thoughts are with her lovely family."

Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV and former producer of The Hour, said: "This news has saddened all of us who knew and worked with Michelle.

"On behalf of STV, I offer our sincere condolences to her family."
