Two hurt in blast at block of flats

TWO people have been injured in a Boxing Day gas explosion at a block of flats in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde.

The explosion, which occurred at around 2.25pm, blew out the windows of the flat in Highholm Street. A man and a woman were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock for treatment for their injuries. The block of flats was evacuated.
