Two injured as head-on crash closes link road

TWO men were taken to hospital following a head-on collision near Glasgow Airport this morning.

Motorists face lengthy delays as Barnsford Road, between Red Smiddy Roundabout and the M8 junction, remains closed.

Both drivers, said to be suffering neck and back injuries, were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital by ambulance after the crash at 8am.

One driver, believed to be in a sports car, was cut from the vehicle by fire crews who arrived at the scene from Renfrew, Clydebank and Paisley stations.

Barnsford Road, Inchinnan, remains closed in both directions with police directing traffic.
