TWO teenagers who died in a road accident which left another pair of young men injured have been named.

Scott Wilson, of Cleland, and Steven Scott, both 19, of Shotts, North Lanarkshire, died after their Renault Clio crashed into a telegraph pole in Benhar Road, Shotts.

The injured men, aged 17 and 20, are being treated at Wishaw Hospital. One is thought to have a punctured lung and the other a broken leg. The accident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Steven's brother Mark described his closeness to his brother, saying: "We did everything together. I can't believe it."

Strathclyde Police is continuing its inquiries.
