TWO young men were killed on a busy road when the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a lorry.

The 24-year-old driver and his 23-year-old passenger, who have not been named, died following the accident on the A6105 in the Scottish Borders.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened around 3.40pm on Friday.

It is believed the accident involving the men??s silver Toyota Corolla car and the lorry happened on a bad bend in the road about a quarter of a mile west of Duns.

Sergeant Brian Jones of Police Scotland said: ??Sadly, both the driver and passenger of the silver Toyota Corolla lost their life, and we are appealing for any witnesses to this collision, or anyone who was on the A6105 west of Duns at around 3.40pm is urged to contact police on 101."
