Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich could have been just another cyclist enjoying the sunshine as he donned the lycra for a cycle.

The Chelsea owner came ashore from his super-yacht, which is moored in the Firth of Clyde, for a ride on his road bike.

Mr Abramovich has been on a trip 'doon the water' with his boat attracting a lot of attention from onlookers this week.

After the vessel moored off Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, Mr Abramovich went ashore and was spotted by day trippers and even some refuse workmen who managed to take a picture of him.

He cycled through the town and took in some of the sights including the famous Zavaroni fish and chip shop.

Earlier in the week, the yacht, Eclipse, caused a stir when it was seen off Greenock.

The world's second largest superyacht boasts two helicopter pads, two swimming pools and several hot tubs.

It also reputedly has defence systems to protect it from attack. Mr Abramovich is said to have his own luxury suite with floor that is able to submerge to 50 metres.
