An inquiry found that tax authorities in countries such as Germany and Spain have collected billions of euros from the mobile phone company, in contrast to HM Revenues and Customs.
A study of the telecomms giant's accounts revealed the company used complicated off-shore tax avoidance procedures that enabled them to downplay the amount of profit they made each year.
