Up for the challenge

GLASGOW'S Lord Provost Sadie Docherty has thrown herself in at the deep end and taken the ice bucket challenge.

The city's first citizen opted for the most high-profile location that she could think of for her soaking - George Square at lunchtime.

Dressed in a T-shirt, leggings and her ceremonial gold chain, she submitted to being drenched by two wine buckets of freezing water.Mrs Docherty will make a donation to Unicef, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Charity.
