Comedian Victoria Wood hit out at "enhanced reality" television programmes like The Only Way Is Essex today, saying they were taking the work of real actors.
The writer and comedy actress, whose hits have included Dinnerladies and Acorn Antiques in a career spanning more than 30 years, said programmes like Towie and Made In Chelsea were often just "drama under a cheaper name".
