The owners of a meat processing plant which is to close with the loss of 1700 jobs are facing demands to "put their hands in their pocket" and help the local economy.
Dutch food group Vion is shutting down its Hall's of Broxburn plant in West Lothian.
The firm turned down two bids to save the factory, with Vion stating neither of the offers "constitutes a viable and sustainable alternative" to closure.
