War-zone songs win a medal

CORPORAL Nicola Taylor proudly holds her operational service medal after a tour in Afghanistan.

The singer from Glenrothes was one of a team of Army musicians from the Royal Regiment of Scotland based at the Dreghorn Barracks in Edinburgh who were given medals after spending three months in the war zone over Christmas and New Year, providing music for the forces in Helmand Province.
