Warning over TV cameras in court

Caution should be exercised when TV cameras are allowed into courtrooms, a lawyer has urged.

Roderick Campbell, an SNP MSP and a Faculty of Advocates member, said he is not fully convinced there is a genuine case for televising trials.

Cameras have occasionally been permitted into Scottish courts but he warned against turning cases into entertainment.
