Actors James Leece, Amy Ellen Richardson and Stephane Anelli enjoy a taste of some of the 12,000 litres of water that will be used in a new production of the classic Singin' In The Rain.

The curtain came up on the West End Production last night for a run that lasts until March 15 at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh. The story of the first Hollywood musical, which left silent movies behind, is likely to be a huge hit with Scots theatre-goers. People in the front four rows have been warned they may get wet. The production includes songs such as Good Morning, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes and Singin' in the Rain itself.
