Webber's Scottish roots

LORD Andrew Lloyd Webber paid a visit to Glasgow this week to celebrate his Scottish roots.

Lord Webber, 64, attended the Scottish premiere of Jesus Christ Superstar at the SECC on Tuesday night.

He said: "I came up to see Jesus Christ Superstar. We're touring it at the moment."

He added: "I'm not going to go to absolutely every one. But I wanted to come to Glasgow because people don't realise that I'm half-Scottish. It's my mum, she came from Aberdeen, she was a Johnstone."
