A WEDDING couple have told guests to help them buy a defibrillator for their village, instead of giving gifts.

Lifeboat volunteers Martin Douglas and fiance Viv Bailey will marry on the Loch Ness in front of Urquhart Castle on Monday August 4.

The pair, dressed in their wedding attire, will be taken by the Loch Ness RNLI lifeboat to two local tour boats, MV Morag mo Chridhe and MV Deepscan, which will be moored together for a small private ceremony with friends and family.

Afterwards they are planning a community "hooley".
