West Highland Way now longer

It is known to millions of walkers throughout the world as a 95-mile pathway through some of Scotland’s greatest scenery.

But from yesterday, the West Highland Way officially became one mile longer.

The new 96-mile route, which begins in Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow, will finish in the less salubrious surroundings of the west end of Fort William High Street.
