Wind farm work proposals

The partners behind the £230 million offshore wind farm which has been bitterly opposed by US billionaire Donald Trump have submitted a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council for associated onshore works.

The 11-turbine European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre is still being considered by Scottish ministers, but Mr Trump insists it will blight his golf course north of Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm Ltd, a joint venture by Vattenfall and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, is seeking accompanying consents.
