Householders were yesterday urged not to throw spiders out of their homes – because they are unlikely to survive wintry weather.
More spiders are expected to be seen in the coming months as the males start to crawl out from floorboards in search of a mate.
Experts have warned people not to cast the spiders out as they are meant to live indoors.
