A 37-year-old passenger died after the car she was in crashed into a post box, say police.
The accident happened on Saturday in the Possilpark area of Glasgow around 8.15pm.
The woman, who has not been named, was in a Nissan Micra when it mounted the pavement and hit a letter box in Hawthorn Street.
She died a short time later in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The driver, a 35-year-old man, was treated for a minor head injury.
Strathclyde Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
