A woman motorcyclist involved in a collision on a country road on Tayside has died tonight in hospital.
Lynsey Cargill, 35, Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire suffered serious injuries when the MZ motorcycle she was riding collided with a Ford Focus motor car on Thursday afternoon.
The collision took place B954 Meigle to Dundee Road and she was treated by paramedics at the scene before she was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Ms Cargill was treated in the Intensive Care Unit where she died during earlier tonight.
The driver and passenger in the Ford Focus were both uninjured.
Police are still trying to trace witnesses to the accident.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or was in the area abut 4.05pm ours on Thursday 2 is urged to contact Police Scotland by telephoning 101.
