Worker injured in crush accident

A workMAN suffered a "serious leg injury" after being crushed under industrial machinery.

Emergency crews were called to the Badentoy Industrial Estate, near Portlethen, Aberdeenshire, after the man was injured.

The worker, 45, who was injured just after 1pm at Hunting Oilfield Services on Badentoy Avenue, was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance. A police spokeswoman said: "We don't have confirmation of the injuries but it's being described as serious but not life-threatening."

Hunting Oilfield Services refused to comment.
