A flagship Government training contract for school leavers is being reviewed after young people on the programme helped lay their placement officer's new driveway.
West Lothian-based Sibbald Training directed the teenagers to a firm that then used the youths to work on a home job.
Airdrie-based David Blair, a placement officer at Sibbald, channeled the youngsters to his son's firm, DCB Fabrication.
