Fisherman who fell overboard dies in hospital
A fisherman who was rescued after falling overboard has died.
The man was airlifted to the Western Isles Hospital on the Isle of Lewis after the incident near Barra off the west coast of Scotland at about 1.30pm yesterday.
Stornoway Coastguard and Barra RNLI lifeboat crew were called to the scene but the man had been rescued by another fisherman by the time they arrived.
He was then transferred to hospital.
His family have been informed of his death.
