The artist, musician and songwriter Kim Gordon will present the award for Turner Prize 2015.

The winner of the prize will be announced at an awards ceremony at Tramway, Glasgow, on 7 December.

Kim Gordon is a founding member of the band Sonic Youth and one of the most influential musicians of her generation.

She is currently a current member, with Bill Nace, of the guitar duo Body/Head.

She is the author of Is It My Body? Selected Text and her acclaimed memoir Girl in a Band was released this year.

The Turner Prize 2015 exhibition runs until January 17 and features work by the four nominated artists Assemble; Bonnie Camplin; Janice Kerbel and Nicole Wermers.
