FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a blaze at the old Stobhill Hospital in Springburn.

The blaze broke out in a derelict mortuary, which has lain empty for the past six years, according to an NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) spokeswoman. 

Police were alerted at 6.55pm after three appliances caught alight within a building.

It is understood to have affected a derelict part of the hospital.

Twenty firefighters were understood to be tackling the fire.
