A baker has turned the likes of pina coladas, cosmopolitans and mojitos into a new range of sweet treats - and they are selling like the proverbial hotcakes.
Gin, vodka, rum and tequila are just some of the ingredients Lesley Henderson uses to whisk up her dream creations in Scotland's first cocktail cake shop.
Using just two units of alcohol per 12 cakes, her treats are individually hand crafted and specially designed for every customer.
The 34-year-old, from the Leith area of Edinburgh, works full time at as a business development coordinator and bakes the cakes in her spare time.
Lesley said: "I've always loved baking cakes and drinking cocktails, so I decided to mix the two together and create my own business.
"It was an idea both myself and my partner Brian came up with and so far, it's proving to be quite popular.
"I know there are a few bakeries that do the odd cocktail cupcake, but that is all my business focuses on.
"However, if someone wants a personalised cake with no alcohol in it, I can bake that too.
"I'm currently looking for a premises to open up a shop, and once I secure that I'm planning to run the business full-time in Edinburgh.
"I'm very mobile at the moment, I bake the cakes at home and deliver all over the UK."
Since Lesley began experimenting with cocktail flavours in February 2015, she has received a variety of unusual recipe requests.
She said: "I've used everything from prosecco to Jack Daniels in the cakes just depending on what people order.
"It's something I love to do so it's great to try new recipes.
"There is a selection of the most popular flavours on our website, which are similar to real cocktails such as white Russians, pina coladas etc. If requested, we can make the alcohol in the cakes stronger."
Lesley's cupcake creations listed on her website attempt to mimic the taste of popular cocktails.
For example, the Cheshire Cat, a cupcake containing a mixture of NB Vodka, triple sec and cranberry juice, is based on a traditional Cosmopolitan.
Businesses across the city have flocked to help Lesley with her treats, with many even supplying alcohol to be included in her products.
Edinburgh Gin and NB Gin have supplied various ingredients, while Mother's Original Gin and Draft bar, located on Howe Street, have been serving her creations as part of their afternoon tea and other businesses have been helping with advertising.
Lesley added: "It's great to have so many companies on board."
