CELTIC players will be able to enjoy a singalong on their return from tomorrow night’s Champions League qualifier if they win, as their private jet was once used by Madonna.

Brendan Rodgers’ team has flown to Israel in a customised Boeing 757-200 on loan from Greek-based aviation specialists, Gain Jet, who once supplied the plane for the singer’s Rebel Heart tour of New Zealand.

The cabin has been altered for its VIP guests so it has club class accommodation for just 62 people. Passengers are treated to the best food and drink and can safely use wi-fi in the air.

Rodgers hopes the extra leg room will allow his players to arrive more relaxed for the match against Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the southern city of Beersheba.

The team are defending a 5-2 lead from last week’s first leg at Celtic Park, with a windfall estimated at £20 million at stake for reaching the Champions League.

Gain Jet would not confirm the identity of the occupants of the plane.
