Former bra tycoon Michelle Mone says she is 'tempted' to run for the role of First Minister.

The 43-year-old made the comment as she responded to a tweet from a fan who suggested she should take on Scotland's top job.

Irena Tuga posted: "Lady Mone for Scotland 1st minister. If Trump can do it I am sure she can."

Mone responded: "I'm tempted Irene."

The Twitter exchange followed Mone's appearance on Good Morning Britain where she told host Piers Morgan that Nicola Sturgeon should "stick to her day job, claiming Scotland doesn't want another independence referendum.

She said: "We've had the Scottish referendum then we had the general referendum now we've had the EU referendum, we've had enough I think.

"The general public are sick of politics, sick to the back teeth of it.

"It's holding back inward investment and I think we've just got to get on with business and growing our country and making our NHS and everything better."

The Glasgow-born entrepreneur was made a Tory peer in 2015.

She recently revealed she is in a relationship with Scots billionaire Doug Barrowman, 51, who has 50 businesses, his own private jet, six homes and 15 cars.
