An older child with a weapon has robbed a boy of his clothing in the grounds of a school in Larkhall.

The 8-year-old victim was targeted at around 8.45pm on Sunday, July 23.

He was within the grounds of Craigbank Primary School, Glengonnar Street, where he was approached by an older child.

The older child threatened him with a weapon before robbing him of his clothing.

Detective Constable David Timmons, from Cambuslang CID, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the young boy and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the surrounding area on Sunday evening, who may have witnessed what happened or may have captured the incident on their dashcam, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Cambuslang CID via 101 and quote incident number 0845 of Monday 24th July 2017.”
