TWO teenagers were left “badly shaken” after being abducted by a group of three men in Paisley and forced to drive a stolen car.

The two 18 year olds were forced into a stolen silver Hyundai late on Thursday night, police said. One of the teenagers managed to escape from the car and call for help, and the second was later found at the home of a relative after police launched a missing person hunt.

“One of the victims was able to get out of the car and phoned the emergency services,” said Detective Inspector Scott McCallum. "However, we were unable to locate the vehicle for some time, leading to a high-risk missing person investigation being launched.

“Both victims have been left very badly shaken by their ordeal.

“They are recovering now but this was a very frightening experience for them.”

Police are appealing for witnesses.
