Chairman of fuel poverty body quits in anger

THE chairman of the Scottish Fuel Poverty Forum has resigned after being kept in the dark by a Government minister over changes to key policies.

Graham Blount, in a letter to Housing Minister Alex Neil, said he was quitting after he was not informed of a substantial change to the Government’s Home Insulation Scheme (HIS) and the consequent budgetary implications for the associated Energy Assistance Package (EAP).
