North Lanarkshire Council wants the SNP government to “reinstate” some of the feudal rights it lost five years ago to rein in developers.
It was a hangover from the 12th century that was supposed to have been cured by one of the first big decisions of devolution, but now a Labour-run local authority hopes to revive the ancient rights of feudal tenure.
