New York nurse scheme inspires £1.6m project to help young Scottish mothers

A US-style project that aims to help teenage mothers has launched in Scotland.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said she was sure the £1.6 million test programme, being run by NHS Lothian, would have several benefits.

The family nurse partnership is supporting first-time parents and single mothers under the age of 19.
