No need for quick sale of rail link land

Ministers have come under renewed attack for selling land on which the Glasgow Airport Rail Link was to be built after parliamentary researchers appeared to question the legal basis for the move.

 

Transport Scotland is in negotiations to dispose of land acquired through compulsory purchase powers in Paisley, with the agency insisting that it is legally obliged to do so after Garl was cancelled last September.
