Scottish Parliament could see powers extended in UK Government devolution deal

Scotland is to get more tax-raising powers under the most radical shake-up of devolution since 1999, a minister has said.

Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy said new responsibilities to be given to Holyrood would include more powers over taxes – but not until after the next Westminster General Election.

Mr Murphy will detail the plan in a statement to MPs at the House of Commons later today.
