Tories to investigate Goldsmith donation mistakes

The Conservative party has launched an internal investigation and admitted making mistakes in failing to properly declare donations in the name of a company which were in fact from Zac Goldsmith, the billionaire candidate and friend of David Cameron.

Nearly £40,000 received in a series of cash gifts to the party between 2005 and 2008 were registered with the Electoral Commission as coming from a company called Unicorn Administration, which is an intermediary company that helps run the finances of the super-rich.
