Anger as Scottish landowners call for the right to kill protected birds of prey

SCOTTISH landowners are calling on the Government to allow the killing of protected birds of prey in order to safeguard lucrative game shoots.

The Scottish Rural Property and Business Association (SRPBA) says it wants the new SNP administration to grant licences to allow the targeted killing of more common species of protected birds such as buzzards and ravens.
